Kajol Mukherjee, known simply as Kajol, is one of India’s most acclaimed and beloved actresses, best known for her work in Hindi cinema. Born on August 5, 1974, in Mumbai, India, she hails from a family deeply entrenched in the film industry. Her mother, Tanuja, and her aunt, Nutan, were both successful actresses.

Kajol made her acting debut at the age of 17 in the 1992 film “Bekhudi,” but it was her second film, “Baazigar” (1993), opposite Shah Rukh Khan, that catapulted her to stardom. Her performance as the naive and innocent girl who falls in love with a vengeful anti-hero earned her widespread acclaim and established her as a leading actress in Bollywood.
