Diljit Dosanjh, born on January 6, 1984, is a renowned Indian singer, actor, and television presenter who predominantly works in Punjabi and Hindi cinema. He was born and raised in Dosanjh Kalan, a small village in Punjab, India. Diljit began his career as a singer in the Punjabi music industry, gaining popularity with his unique voice and catchy songs.

Diljit’s breakthrough came with his album “Ishq Da Uda Ada” in 2004, which featured several hit tracks. He continued to release successful albums, establishing himself as one of the leading singers in the Punjabi music scene. Some of his most popular songs include “Lak 28 Kudi Da,” “Proper Patola,” and “Do You Know.”

In addition to his music career, Diljit Dosanjh made his acting debut in the Punjabi film industry with the film “The Lion of Punjab” in 2011. He quickly gained recognition for his acting skills and charming screen presence. His performance in the film “Jatt & Juliet” (2012) opposite Neeru Bajwa was particularly well-received and became a major commercial success. He reprised his role in the sequel “Jatt & Juliet 2” (2013), which further solidified his position as a leading actor in Punjabi cinema.

Diljit Dosanjh made his Bollywood debut with the film “Udta Punjab” (2016), in which he played the role of a police officer alongside Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. His performance was widely praised by critics and audiences alike, earning him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

Since then, Diljit has appeared in several successful Bollywood films, including “Phillauri” (2017), “Soorma” (2018), and “Good Newwz” (2019). He is known for his versatility as an actor, effortlessly transitioning between different genres and roles.

Apart from his acting and singing career, Diljit Dosanjh is also a popular television presenter, having hosted several seasons of the singing reality show “Rising Star.”
